Welcome to Gracie Barra Central Coast.
Please select from our martial arts programs below or read some articles about us.
The Gracie Barra Kids Program, for ages 3-15, provides a space for children to learn important values like focus, discipline, persistence, cooperation, and respect.
We know getting kids off screens can be a challenge, but the 2-3 hours a week they spend with us will bring significant benefits.
Children today face many challenges, from bullying to unhealthy habits. Our Jiu-Jitsu classes offer both physical and mental education to support their growth. Gracie Barra Central Coast provides a safe, caring, and challenging environment where children can develop strong values and character, helping them thrive on and off the mats.
Our Kids Program is divided into age groups:
- Tiny Champions (3-4 years)
- Little Champions I (4-6 years)
- Little Champions II (7-9 years)
- Juniors (10-12 years)
- Teens (13-15 years)
- Advanced Kids (7+ years)
Certified instructors help students reach their full potential, teaching self-defense, building physical fitness, and promoting respect, confidence, and discipline. Our program also addresses how to prevent and stop bullying from a young age.
The Gracie Barra Adult Program teaches the best self defence skills and also the students will experience a deeper involvement in GB's philosophy, a stronger bond with training partners as well as more discipline and commitment to healthy habits that keep them in good shape.
Our women’s martial arts program is designed to teach women how to defend against any attacker – even those who are significantly larger in size. Our instructors will help you run drills to simulate realistic attack and escape situations you might encounter in the real world. With practice, you can leverage an attacker’s weight against them, allowing you to escape and get to safety unharmed. The self-defense techniques taught in this class use Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals that complement our selection of additional adult classes.
These classes focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without the Gi, using only Gracie Barra shorts and rash top.
Many GB athletes are preparing for No-Gi competitions, which are growing in popularity worldwide. While Gi and No-Gi share many principles, the key difference lies in grips. Without the Gi's collar, sleeves, and pants, practitioners must rely on grips like underhooks, overhooks, collar ties, and wrist control.
No-Gi is fast-paced, cardio-intensive, and dynamic, offering a different experience from the slower, grinding nature of Gi training—but both are highly rewarding!
The best place by far to train on the coast. You will feel at home straight away. Top people. Top training. Top professor!
