Norman Richards I started BJJ with 56 years old
I originally took my daughter Kate to Gracie Barra Central Coast because she wanted to learn an effective martial art. I was immediately very impressed with how warm and welcoming professor Danillo and his team were. After just a few weeks I noticed how my daughters confidence in herself was growing. My daughter stopped training when her career consumed most of her time, but I believe the experience helped shape her into the confident and self motivated young woman she is today.
A few years later my son Luke wanted to try it, and to help encourage him I decided I would do it as well, but I was 56 and was concerned I was too old. I took him to Gracie Barra Central Coast.
As soon as I walked into the gym professor Danillo came up to me and welcomed me by name. I couldn't believe he remembered me just from meeting a couple of times a few years prior.
Luke and I borrowed a gi each and joined the class. Luke fell in love with training and we came regularly for a bit over a year, but his music, water polo and looming HSC consumed his time so he reluctantly stopped training.
I originally joined Gracie Barra Central Coast to support my son, but fell in love with the sport of jiu jitsu and still train here today. It fills a void in my life since retiring and It really does feel like I'm part of their family. I have made many new friends and love training on the clean mats and the relaxed friendly atmosphere. I 100% recommend you come and try it. You've got nothing to lose. It might change your life like it did mine.
Shannon Zwan Everyone here has always made me feel very comfortable
I love GB Central Coast! I started here around 3 years ago through covid. Everyone was very lovely from the beginning. The students and coaches supported me to learn and improve my Jiu jitsu. Everyone there has always made me feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to try something new, improve fitness, or simply to meet some great people.
Jessica Purtell We have become part of the family
We cannot recommend Gracie Barra enough! The kids loving going there and have learnt so much in terms of Jiu Jitsu but also respect and have grown confidence in themselves and speaking within a group setting. My partner and I have also started and have become addicted. A great bunch people and are stoked we have become part of the family there!
Josh Bohatko The most friendly place to start your Jiu Jitsu
Great environment to learn and is all inclusive and very family friendly. I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE I speak to!! The most friendly place to either start your Jiu Jitsu journey or to restart in such good atmosphere where everybody support each other as a team! Every staff member is so passionate about what they do and will go above and beyond for every member!!
Erin Waagan The coaches are dedicated and invested in your progress!
You learn so much every session, the coaches are dedicated and invested in your progress, and the people you train with always support you no matter what. Training at Erina is an absolute pleasure.
Scotty Henderson I feel privileged to have myself and entire family involved
We are truly blessed on The Central Coast, to have Gracie Barra (Erina & Tuggerah), both of which: Owned, operated and staffed by some of the finest men and women in the country. I cannot recommend these facilities for training enough, and feel privileged to have myself and entire family involved. OSS!
